Secure Millroll Truck Loads

Single Millroll Securing Procedure

CAUTION: Do NOT use chains anywhere on the finished millroll except journal grooves. If there are no grooves, wrap rubber belting around journal ends and wrap chains in the same manner over belting.

  1. Set “V” blocks (supplied by shipper) in the proper location on the truck bed and cover with waterproof paper.
  2. Set millroll on “V” blocks.
  3. Loop chains around end grooves in the millroll journals and secure to both sides of the trailer.
  4. Secure the millroll across the finished surface with three 4″ straps.
  5. Secure all loose equipment, including chains and binders, lumber, tarps, rubber belting, coil racks, edge protectors, and load bar.

NOTE: Rubber belting may be used between “V” blocks and waterproof paper if necessary to keep millrolls off the floor of the trailer. CAUTION: Do NOT use chains anywhere on the finished millroll except journal grooves. If there are no grooves, wrap rubber belting around journal ends and wrap chains in the same manner over belting.

  1. Set “V” blocks (supplied by shipper) in the proper location on the truck bed so that millrolls will be in sets of 2 across. Cover “V” blocks with waterproof paper.
  2. Set each pair of millrolls on “V” blocks so they are tight against one another.
  3. Secure chains over end grooves in the millroll journals.
  4. Secure the millroll pairs across the finished surfaces with two 4″ straps.
  5. Secure all loose equipment, including chains and binders, lumber, tarps, rubber belting, coil racks, edge protectors, and load bar.
